DMGC Pastoral Team

Des Moines Gospel Chapel is led by a team of pastor elders who are responsible for the pastoral care of our local church.  We work alongside many wonderful believers at DMGC who also share our heart for the Lord and His People.  We co-labor with our terrific Deacons and Women's Ministry Team in fulfilling our Mission at DMGC.

For spiritual counsel or questions about our congregation, please contact one of the following Pastoral Team Members by calling the Chapel Office at 206-878-2145.

Bryan Johnson
Bryan Johnson and his wife Carole have a rich history of involvement with both youth and adults ministries at Des Moines Gospel Chapel and Lakeside Bible Camp.  Bryan currently serves in adult teaching and preaching in our Family Bible Hour.  He often can also be seen leading an activity or accompanying our singing with one of the musical instruments he plays.  If you have a question about Lakeside Bible Camp, ask Bryan.  He is one of our Lakeside Bible Camp Board of Director representatives.

Bryan is a senior engineer at the Boeing Company. He and Carole have three adult sons and two beautiful daughters-in-law.  Bryan likes wood working. Ask him to show you the guitar he made.

Dave Cramer
Dave is a veteran member of our Pastoral Team who has a heart for personal discipleship and pastoral mentoring.  He has served in a variety of teaching ministries including our growth groups, children's Sunday school and KidREACH mentoring.  Dave often reminds us as a pastoral team to examine the heart issues that are so important in our relationship with the Lord Jesus.  Dave is a highly skilled print operator for the Kent School District.

Dave and his wife Patti have three adult kids, two great son-in-laws, an wonderful daughter-in-law and five grandchildren.  They both love our Washington beaches and Dave has some awesome kites.

Jason Dibble
Jason and his wife Theresa have been married since 2000 and have five children:  Andrew, Sharon, Luke, Amanda and Sophie.  Jason works in the software engineering field and is involved with the Middle School ministry at DMGC.  He is passionate about understanding and teaching the truth of God’s Word and applying it to our daily lives.

Jason enjoys sports and plays basketball regularly.  He also volunteers as a coach for his kids’ soccer and basketball teams.  The family enjoys attending and volunteering at Lakeside Bible Camp.

Jeff Snyder
Jeff assists with preaching, teaching and counseling at DMGC. He is also involved in the men's discipleship ministry.  He occasionally assists individuals with employment issues; a natural fit given his work as a career counselor at a local aerospace company.  Jeff believes active involvement in the Church through serving and the application of spiritual gifts is one of the most rewarding aspects of his life in Christ.

Jeff has been spotted on the Interurban trail during fair and foul weather, where he commutes on his bicycle from West Hill Kent to his work place in Auburn. He is married to Cheri, who is involved in women’s ministries and services roles at DMGC.  They have two children, one a graduate from Western Washington University; the other a graduate from Biola University in La Mirada, CA.

Mac Sauerlender
Mac has been on the Pastoral Team at Des Moines Gospel Chapel since 1989.  During that time he has served as a member of the full-time staff at DMGC – ministering with both youth and adults.  He currently serves in preaching, teaching, discipleship and administration.  Mac loves the truths, power and life found in God’s Word – the Bible.  That is regularly reflected in his ministry at DMGC.

He and his wife Mindy have been married for over 35 years.  They have six adult kids and six grandkids.  Mindy serves in MOPS, discipling teen and adult women as well as prison ministries. Mac loves being in the outdoors and can be regularly seen riding his bike, hiking or kayaking on the Puget Sound.

Paul Brandner
Paul has been part of the Pastoral Team at DMGC  since 1996.  His primary focus at DMGC is administration and worship ministry, but he can also be found teaching during the school year.  He believes enthusiastic, genuine Christ-centered praise honors and glorifies God, and also enhances the growth and spiritual maturity of a believer.  His life verse is 2 Timothy 4:12: "Set an example for the believers in speech, life, love, faith and purity."

Paul and his wife Kimberly have three children, who have all been raised at DMGC and now serve in ministries such as Summer Day Camp, Training in Christian Living at Lakeside Bible Camp, Primary Age Sunday School and the Nursery.  Sports are a big deal in the Brandner household.  When they aren't cheering on the Sounders, Seahawks, Mariners and Huskies, they are on the sidelines cheering on their kids, who are all heavily involved in sports.  Their family also enjoys traveling, boating and skiing.
