DMGC Women's Ministry Team

Women's Ministries helps provide for the spiritual and practical needs of the women at DMGC under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, leadership of the Pastoral Team and in partnership with the Deacons. We want to inspire spiritual growth, encourage connectedness and facilitate good works in all aspects of women's ministries while encouraging women to seek and serve the Lord and share their faith with others.

  • The Women's Ministries Leadership Team desires to serve the women of DMGC, as well as the larger church body.  We promote opportunities that encourage connections between women for spiritual growth and exhortation, whether individually or in groups.  It varies in form from a women's Growth Group, retreat at Lakeside Bible Camp, Bible study, discipleship, MOPS, etc.
  • We continue to explore new ways to connect!  Connecting is vital whether it's over a cup of coffee or in a Bible study setting.  We have a private DMGC Women's facebook page which is one forum we use to share what God is doing in our lives and encourage one another.  It's easy to be added if you are interested!  Look for announcements of upcoming activities in the church Bulletin, church emails and the DMGC facebook page.
  • Friendship Services ensures that people are supported and ministered to during major life events.  Memorial services, bridal and baby showers, weddings and encouragement for the sick through visits, cards and meals are some of the ways women's ministries serves the DMGC church family.
  • The Nursery is a vital ministry and a safe, fun place for infants and young children to begin "body life."  The Nursery provides parents with ability to focus during the church service and it is also a great place for our teens and adults to serve.
  • Support Services includes assisting with baptisms, volunteering at the Des Moines Food Bank, managing the kitchen/supplies and coordinating the Sunday morning refreshment teams.  A cup of coffee or tea and a cookie facilitate great conversation with friends and visitors on a Sunday morning!
